Sean Cuthbert has worn the captain’s “C” for Hockey Night in New York since the show launched back in October 2014. Known for his even-keeled, optimistic approach, Sean brings a grounded, relatable voice to the Islanders conversation each week.
While his hockey journey started on the wrong side of the rivalry as a young Rangers fan, he saw the light at age eight and proudly switched allegiances to the Islanders. Since then, Sean has stuck with the blue and orange through every high, low, and heartbreak—still waiting to see the team raise the Stanley Cup in a moment he can actually remember, having been just a baby during their fourth championship run.
