24:09  – What’s On Tap?

Tuesday (12/2) vs Tampa Bay, 7:00pm – The Lightning have won their last seven games and will look to make it eight straight wins. The Islanders, who are struggling at home, will look to contain Jake Guentzel who has five points in his last 3 games.

Thursday (12/4) vs Colorado, 7:00pm – The Colorado Avalanche are currently 18-1-6. The Avalanche have one regulation loss and will look to continue their hot streak led by Nathan MacKinnon, who has seven points in his last three games.

Saturday (12/6) @ Tampa, 7:00pm – The Islanders will have to once again face off against the three-headed monster of Jake Guentzel, Brayden Point, and Nikita Kucherov, who make up one of the best first lines in today’s NHL.

Sunday (12/7) @ Florida, 5:00pm – The Islanders will pay a visit to the reigning Stanley Cup Champions, the Florida Panthers. The Panthers are currently missing Alexander Barkov, but are still a force to be reckoned with as they continue to rack up points in a competitive Atlantic Division. Their defense of Gustav Forsling, Seth Jones, Aaron Ekblad, and Mikko Mikkola is a stacked blue line that can protect their netminder and also put up points.

33:38 – Hero of the Week! presented by NOK Hockey

Arthur & Sean’s Pick: Kyle Palmieri, whose legendary assist against the Philadelphia Flyers set social media ablaze, is the clear hero of the week. Palmieri, who has two points in his last four games, contributes on and off the score sheet and his performance against the Flyers, where he sustained a season ending ACL tear, showcases his spirit and dedication to the team and the fans. While nursing his injury and skating off the ice, Palmieri managed to produce a turnover and a secondary assist to give the Islanders a fighting chance against the Philadelphia Flyers when they were down 3-0.

35:50 – The Snake Den

36:18 – Jake goes with a former Islanders theme and starts off by talking about Brock Nelson’s assimilation into the Colorado Avalanche’s system and how he has thrived as of late.

37:29 – Jake proceeds to talk about Noah Dobson’s current season with his new team, the Montreal Canadiens.

38:28 – Another former Islander is added to the discussion in Anthony Beauvillier where he is seeing some decent production as a member of the Washington Capitals.

39:39 – Jake adds former Islanders’ captain, John Tavares, into the mix by summarizing his continued stellar performances on a Toronto Maple Leafs team that seems to have lost their way.

41:02 – Jake highlights some former friendly faces in Mike Reilly (currently with the Carolina Hurricanes), Nick Leddy (now with San Jose), and of course Devon Toews.

41:49 – Jake includes Cole Eiserman’s notable performance against Cornell where he scored a big goal in his first game after recovering from a recent injury.

42:14 – Jake concludes his segment with a trivia question: “Who was the first goalie to post a shutout in their Islander debut?”

Arthur discusses an injured Kyle Palmieri’s heroics.

44:11 – Question Brewin’

44:32– Do you guys think it’s a good idea or a bad idea for the Islanders to have an all 82 away game season?

44:50 – Does today’s power play goal result in having Pulock on the power play?

46:56 – What is going on with Barzal?

47:38 – Any names on the trade market interest you?

49:50 – What is the NHL’s obsession with having the same teams play each other three times within a three or four month period before the new year?
